First All-Star Highlight

So, everyone keeps asking me when I am going to get the next VLOG up with all the tasty All-Star footage. To give you a little insight as to what I am dealing with, I was lucky enough to have 3 cameras rolling for the majority of the game. While this provided me with a lot of really great footage, it also provided me with A LOT of really great footage. So, while I continue to Nip/Tuck this thing down to a usable length, here's something to appease you until then.

The following was one of those plays that just made me laugh. It starts off with a shallow fly ball from yours truly (why didn't anyone tell me I jumped into the air when I kick?). Then, on a questionable decision by the third base coach, the hobbling Johnny Smith raced toward home plate only to be pegged by catcher Tom Bivens. The play seemingly ends there, but Tish Simmons attempts to taunt pitcher Eli Pakier into a pickle. The play just made me laugh, so here it is for you in its three-cam glory.

All-Star Madness

For those who are unaware, we held our first All-Star game in the Dogtown division on Wednesday, September 6th. And, if I may say so myself, it was a rousing success. I am very happy that my vision for the game was glorified by the participants. Everyone seemed to truly have a great time representing their teams.

Originally, I wanted this game to be a means to bring together players from each team in the division as a way to connect us all. It made me very proud to see all sorts of different colored jerseys enjoying themselves and cheering each other on. The comraderie was even greater than what I hoped for, and I thank each and every one of you for making it a reality. I am sure that, come next season, we will all go back to being opponents. But, I know I will always remember everything about this game. Except for the score.
